     Caramel Layered Brownies

Ingredients
14 oz pkg caramels
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1 pkg german chocolate cake mix
1 tbsp water
1/2 cup margarine (melted)
6 oz chocolate chips
1 cup nuts (optional)
 

Instructions
Melt together caramels and evaporated milk in microwave. Combine cake mix, water and margarine. Mixture will be crumbly. Spread 3/4 mixture into greased 9x13 pan. Bake for six minutes at 350. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and top with melted caramel mixture. Crumble remaining cake mixture over top. Bake 15-20 minutes longer.
