Mix together flour and salt. Cut in crisco. Sprinkle with water. Mix
with fork and shape into ball. Roll on floured surface into 12 X 18
rectangle. Cut into 6 equal squares.
Mix together sugar, flour and cinnamon. Place one apple, 2 T sugar
mixture and small piece of butter on each dough square. Bring
corners of dough up around apple and pinch together edges. Place
in large baking pan.
Combine syrup ingredients (sugar, water, butter and cinnamon) and
boil until sugar dissolves. Cover dumplings with syrup and bake at
350 for 1 hour.
