Cook cabbage in boiling water. Do not overcook. Drain cabbage.
Fry bacon until crisp and remove from pan. Save drippings.
Mix sugar, salt, pepper and flour together. Add to bacon drippings.
While stirring, add onions, water and vinegar. This will become thick.
Add crisp bacon. Remove from stove & pour over cooked cabbage.
Reheat if necessary before serving.
