     (OZ) THREE BEAN SOUP

Ingredients
2 quarts WATER
16 oz. can DARK RED KIDNEY BEANS
16 oz. can GREAT NORTHERN BEANS
16 oz. can GREEN LIMA BEANS
1 lb. good CANNED HAM - cut in chunks
3 med. Vine-Ripened TOMATOES - diced
1 Lg. WHITE ONION - chopped
1 Sm. GREEN BELL PEPPER - chopped
8 CHICKEN BOUILLON cubes
 
2 teas. GARLIC POWDER
1 teas. SALT
1 teas. coarse BLACK PEPPER
1 teas. CHILI POWDER
1 teas. OREGANO
1/2 teas. MARJORAM
1/2 teas. ground CUMIN

Instructions
Boil water, bouillon, peppers, and onions. Stir occasionally until bouillon is dissolved.
Meanwhile, thoroughly rinse and drain all beans.
Add beans and all other ingredients and cook until heated through, strirring occasionally.
For best results, I recommend preparing this a day ahead to let flavors blend properly.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with Pillsbury Biscuits or Cornbread.
