Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, cream
together butter and sugars. Beat in eggs, cream,
maple syrup, and vanilla.
In medium bowl, sift together flour, baking powder,
cinnamon, and salt. In 3 batches, beat into wet
ingredients. Stir in nuts with wooden spoon.
Roll dough into 1 inch ball. Then roll out into
fingers roughly the size of your pinkie finger.
Lay on ungreased cookie sheets in the shape of crescents, forming
pairs of parentheses. If dough
starts to get sticky, chill for a few minutes in
the refrigerator.
Bake cookies until medium brown on edges and
underneath, 20-25 minutes, rotating the pans 180
degrees mid-way through cooking. Let cool on racks.
