Preheat oven to 350.In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar and cocoa. Cut in margarine until crumbly, Mixture will be dry. Reserve 2 cups of crumb mixture.
Press remainder into 13 X 9 pan. Bake 15 minutes. In larger mixer bowl, beat cheese until fluff. Gradually beat in condensed milk until smooth. Add egg, vanilla mix well. Pour over prepared crust.
Combine nuts (optional) with reserved crumb mixture, sprinkle evenly over cheesemixture. Bake 25 min or until bubbly. cool, chll. cut into 24-36 bars...Store covered in refrigerator
