     Cranberry Sauce

Category   Sauces
Sub Category   Holiday Dish
Preptime   15 min

Ingredients
1 package of fresh cranberries
1- 20 oz. can of sliced apples (not pie filling), cut into small pieces
1-1 1/2 cup of sugar, to taste
1 cup of water
3 oz. of red hots (I used half of a box)

Instructions
Drain juice of sliced apples into large saucepan. Add water, cranberries, and sugar. (NOTE- I added the sugar to taste.) Bring mixture to boil until the berries pop and split. Add red hots and melt. Add cut-up apples and reduce heat to medium low. Simmer about 5 minutes. Mixture will thicken as it cools. Once cooled, refrigerate until serving.
Serving Suggestions
This can be refrigerated for several days prior to serving.
