6 tablespoons butter

1 cup sugar

2 eggs beaten

1-1/2 cup flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

Rind of 1 lemon

1/2 cup broken nut meats

Instructions |

Cream together butter, sugar and eggs
|
|
|
|
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
add lemon rind, milk and nuts
|
|
|
|
Mix, bake @ 350 degrees for 1 hour.
|
|
|
|
After baked, pour this mixture over warm bread.
Juice of 1 lemon and 1/3 cup sugar. (I warm this to dissolve sugar)
Makes 1 regular size loaf
