3 slices bacon, chopped
|

1 small onion, chopped
|

4 med. potatoes, diced
|

1 cup white wine
|

2 cups water
|
|
2 tbsp. barley
|
|
1 tsp salt

1/4 tsp. pepper
|
|
2 cans minced clams
|
|

1 cup milk
|
|
3 tbsps. flour or 2 tbsps, arrowroot
|

Instructions |
|
|
Cook bacon until crisp, remove from pan. Add onions to drippings,
sauté until soft.
|

Add potatoes, wine, water, parsley, salt, pepper, clams and juice,
and bacon.
|
|
|
Cook until the potatoes are soft. Thicken with milk and flour, or
arrowroot.
|
|
|
Heat to desired temperature.
