More granulated sugar and cinnamon to roll dough in.
Using an electric mixer cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs,
Blend. Add cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt, blend. Add
flour 1 cup at a time scrapping sides of bowl frequently.
In a cereal bowl or other low-sided bowl mix 1 cup granulated
sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Roll dough into large walnut
sized balls. Using a teaspoon roll balls in sugar/cinnamon
mixture. Place balls 2-3 inches apart on an un-greased cookie
sheets or cookie sheets lined with parchment paper. Do not
press dough down.
Bake @ 400 8 -10 minutes. Dough should rise that stays put a bit
before removing from oven.
