     Ginger Snap Cookies

1 1/2 ckups shortening (butter flavor crisco)
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cups molasses
4 cups flour sifted
2 tsp soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. crushed cloves
2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream shortening and sugar, beat in egg, add molasses, and then add dry ingredients. Roll into balls, roll balls in sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 15-18 minutes, utnil cracks appear on the tops. After they are cooled I like to dip half of the cookie in melted white chocolate or almond bark.
