     SL-Dessert-Cran Lemon Chiffon

1 pkg lemon or cranberry jello
1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
1-3 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. lemon juice
2 egg whites
2 tsp. sugar
8 inch gram-cracker or pastry shell
1 tsp. grated lemon rind for garnishment

Dissolve jello in 1/2 cup boiled water. Add cranberry sauce, salt, rind, and juice. Mix thoroughly. Chill until mixture begins to stiffen.
Beat egg whites with a hand mixer on high until stiff, then beat in sugar. Fold egg whites into cranberry mixture.
Pour filling into baked gram-cracker or pastry shell. Chill until firm. Serve topped with whipped cream, cranberry and lemon rind for garnishment.
Now you know what to do with those left over cans of cranberry sauce.
