Peel and slice the apples. Set aside. Sift together
dry ingredients. Add butter, work in as for pastry.
Beat egg and vanilla in a measuring cup. Add enough
milk to make 1/2 cup. Combine (stir with fork)with
flour and pat into a greased 9x9 pan.

Cover with apples and sprinkle with mixture of brown
sugar, cinnamon and melted butter.
|
|
|
|
Bake at 425 degrees about 25 minutes.

|
|
I make this when we meet at my house which often
happens in September.
