Drain beans; pu tin saucepan, cover beans by 1 inch. Boil 15 minutes. Cover and simmer 1
hour. Oven 275. Drain beans, reserving water. Put in casserole. Add rest except bacon and
reserved water to cover. Cover and bake 2 hours. Add more water if required. Stir in bacon,
recover, cook 1 hour. Garnish with chives.
