     Barbecue Beans & Bacon

Ingredients
1 1/4 cup haricot beans, soaked overnight
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp soft brown sugar
4 tsp black treacle
4 tsp red wine vinegar
2 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp worcestershire
Pinch Ground cinnamon
1 1/4 cup tomato juice
 
2 large chopped onions
1 lb. smoked bacon, cubed
Chopped fresh chives

Instructions
Drain beans; pu tin saucepan, cover beans by 1 inch. Boil 15 minutes. Cover and simmer 1 hour. Oven 275. Drain beans, reserving water. Put in casserole. Add rest except bacon and reserved water to cover. Cover and bake 2 hours. Add more water if required. Stir in bacon, recover, cook 1 hour. Garnish with chives.
