     Pea Picking Cake

1 box yellow or orange cake mix
4 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 small can Mandarin oranges (undrained)
1 pkg. vanilla cook-n-serve pudding mix
1 pkg. dream whip
1 large can crushed pineapple
1 small box instant vanilla pudding
1 package nuts (pecans or walnuts)

For the cake, put all the cake ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix well. Pour mixture into 3 nine-inch cake pans and bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes in a preheated oven.
For frosting, mix the pineapple along with the juice with the pudding mix. Add the cool whip and spread between the cooled cake layers. Sprinkle nut pieces on top of cake. Refrigerate the cake until it is firm and well cooled before serving. This is a very good cake!
