     Kathie's Lasagna

Ingredients
2 lb ground beef or sausage
1 clove garlic minced (more is better)
1 T basil
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 lb can tomatoes
2 6 oz cans paste
1/2 lb mozzarella sliced thin (or grated and added to cheese mix)
5 oz lasagna noodles
3 c ricotta
 
1/2 c parmesan
1 T parsley
2 eggs
1 t salt
1/4 t pepper

Instructions
Brown meat. Drain grease. Add next 5 ingredients. Simmer uncovered 30 minutes. Stir occasionally. Cook noodles until tender. Drain and rinse. Combine remaining ingredients for cheese filling
Place half of noodles in 13x9 baking dish. Spread with half the cheese mix and half the mozzarella. Spread with half the meat sauce. Repeat the layers. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes or until hot & bubbly. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
If refrigerated before cooking, add 15 minutes to cooking time.
