     Butter Sauce

Ingredients
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup margarine
3 Tablespoons water
1 to 2 teaspoons vanilla
 

Instructions
In small saucepan, combine sugar, margarine and water; heat until margarine melts. Remove from heat; add vanilla. With hot cake still in pan, prick deeply with long tined fork. Pour 3/4 cup of sauce over hot cake. Cool upright in pan 5 minutes. Invert onto serving plate. Spoon or carefully brush remaining sauce over cake.
