     Pound Cake 2

1 pound butter, not margarine
1 pound sugar, about 2 1/4 cups
1 pound flour, about 4 1/2 cups
10 eggs, separated
1/4 cup bourbon (this is a must)

Beat egg whites, set aside. Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg yolks and beat well. Add flour and bourbon. Add egg whites and beat about 3 minutes (this is a must). Bake in two loaf pans in 275 degree oven for about 2 hours.
