     Lettuce and Chive Salad, Korean Style

Ingredients
2 tblspn dark sesame oil
1/2 tspn hot red pepper flakes or to taste
2 tblspn soy sauce
1 tblspn rice or other mild vinager
1/2 tspn minced garlic
1 tspn sugar
8 oz (2 lrg bunches) chives
4 cups any tender lettuce or mixed lettuces
about 1 tblspn toasted sesame seeds
 

Instructions
make the dressing by combing the sesame oil with the red pepper flakes, soy sauce, vinager, garlic, sugar, and about 1 tblspn water
wash and dry the chives, cut them into 1 or 2 inch lengths. toss with lettuce then poor the dressing over all and toss again. garnish with sesame seeds.
