For 1 serving- Pierce small end of an egg with a pin. Place egg in hot ashes with small end up and bake for 10-20 minutes. If desired, serve on hot buttered toast after seasoning with salt and pepper. (Heat seals the opening but hole allows for first steam to escape and prevents egg from bursting.
