Cook pasta in a large pan on boiling water, uncovered, until just tender. Cool. Meanwhile, remove and discard the rind from the bacon then cut into small pieces. Cook bacon, stiring, in a medium pan until brown and crisp. Drain on paper towels.
Whisk mayonnaise, wholegrain mustard and buttermilk in a large bowl.
Add pasta, bacon and remaining ingredients to the bowl. Toss gently to combine. Serve.
Great side to be served with chicken.
