     9 inch Chocolate Cream Pie

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/3 cup cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups milk
4 egg yolks slightly beaten
2 oz (2 squares) melted unsweetened chocolate
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup whipping cream (optional)
 

Instructions
Stir together sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a saucepan. Mix milk, heavy whipping cream (optional) and egg yolks. Gradually add milk and egg combination to sugar combination. Cook over medium heat until boiling and thick continuously stirring. When boiling, continue to stir for one minute. Remove from heat and add vanilla and chocolate. Immediately pour into pie shell. (I recommend graham cracker crust)
