     Lemon Chiffon Buttermilk Cake

3 sticks Margarine
2 1/2 cups Sugar, sifted
4 Eggs
3 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour, sifted 3 times
1 cup Buttermilk
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Tablespoon Lemon Flavoring
Lemon Drizzle:
Juice from 1 Lemon
1 cup Sugar
2 Tablespoon Hot Water

Dissolve soda in 1 tablespoon hot water and set aside. Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Sift flour and salt. Add soda to buttermilk. Alternately add flour and buttermilk to batter. Add lemon flavoring. Pour batter in a greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.
Combine drizzle ingredients in a saucepan and cook just until it boils. Puncture cake with ice pick and spoon hot drizzle over cake.
