     Garlic Sausage

Ingredients
1 lb. lean ground beef
4 large cloves garlic, minced
1 T. paprika, divided
1 t. basil
1 t. salt
1 t. coarse black pepper
1 t. mustard seed
1 t. liquid smoke optional
 

Instructions
In bowl or food processor, mix beef, garlic 1 1/2 t. paprika & the remaining ingredients until well blended. Shape in 2 smooth 10 inch long sausages. Wrap and cover & refrigerate overnight. Place sausage on rack in broiler pan; bake in 250 oven for 1 hour or until sausages are very firm and brown. Cool, sprinkle with remaining paprika. Wrap airtight. Refrigerate up to 1 week or freeze up to 3 weeks. Cut into 1/4 inch slices to serve.
