     Cracked Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients
1 1/2 Cups firmly packed brown sugar
2/3 Cup Shortening
1 Tablespoon water
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 Cups flour
1/3 Cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
 
2 cups (12 oz) miniature semi seeet chocolate chips
1 Cup confectioners sugar

Instructions
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Place sheets of foil on counter top for cooling.
Place brown sugar, shortening, water and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat at beat at medium speed until well blended. Add eggs and beat well
Combine flour, cocoa, salt and baking soda. Add to shortening mixture and beat at low speed just until blended. Stir in small chocolate chips. Shape into 1 inch balls, Roll in the confectioners sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 9 minutes or until cookies are set. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Cool 2 minues on cookie sheet and remove cookies to foil to cool completely.
