Fill your pasta pot with water and bring to a boil and cook pasta.
In your food processor, puree oil and basil until smooth. Add parmesan cheese, walnuts, garlic, salt and cottage cheese. Puree until smooth. You want to make sure that there are no chunks of the walnuts in pesto.
Add your pasta to your serving bowl and pour pesto on top of pasta. Mix well.
