Category   Desserts - Breads
Sub Category   None

Ingredients
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. milk
1 pkg yeast
2 c. flour
1/2 t. salt
4 t. baking powder
1/2 t. soda
2 c. flour

Instructions
Step 1- Mix 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. shortening and 2 c. milk in boiler. Boil for a few minutes to a rolling boil, then remove from heat to cool to milk warm. Step 2- Add 1 pkg yeast and 2 c. flour; stir well and let rise 1 hour. Step 3- After mixture rises 1 hour, add 1/2 t. salt, 4 t. baking powder, 1/2 t. soda and 2 c. flour. Work up like biscuit dough and place in refrigerator until ready to use. When ready to prepare rolls for baking, remove dough from fridge and roll out like biscuit dough. Cut with biscuit cutter, dip in melted butter and fold in half. Place in greased baking pan, cover and let rise in warm place. Then bake in oven at 350-375 until lightly browned. Very light & delicious!!
