Preheat oven to 350. Put butter and sugars in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment; mix on medium speed until pale and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add vanilla and eggs, mix until well combined.
Sift flour, salt, and baking soda into a bowl. Add oats and flour mixture to butter mixture and mix on low speed until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips, pecans, and dried fruit.
Roll or scoop dough into 2 inch balls, then flatten until about 1 inch thick. Transfer to parchment lined baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart. Bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Let cool completely on wire racks.
