Cream butter and sugar. Grate the rind of the lemon and add it to the creamed mixture. Add rest of ingredients except lemon and powdered sugar. Pour batter into greased loaf pan and bake at 350o for 50-60 minutes. Meanwhile, squeeze juice from lemon and combine with powdered sugar. Mix well and pour over loaf when it comes out of oven, letting mixture sink into the bread. Cool on wire rack.
