Seems simple enough, but always wondered why sometimes it peeled easy and others not so much, why sometimes it wasn't quite done and others it was exploding. Did some research and this has helped.
Eggs in tap water, simmer (not boil) 5 minutes. Cover and set off heat for 20 minutes. Now rinse under cold water.
