     Festive Chocolate Cupcakes

Ingredients
3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup whole milk
 
1 container (16 oz) chocolate frosting
Powdered sugar

Instructions
1) Preheat oven to 350 F. Line 12 standard (2 1/2-inch) muffin cups with paper baking cups.
2) Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in large bowl at medium speed until creamy; Add granulated sugar; beat 3 to 4 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Alternately add flour mix and milk, beating well after each addition. Spoon evenly into prepared muffin cups.
3) Bake 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted into centers comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove to wire rack; cool completely.
4) Microwave frosting in medium microwavable bowl on medium for 30 seconds; stir. Microwave at additional 15-second intervals until frosting is melted. Dip tops of cupcakes in frosting; return to wire rack to set. (Frosting may need to be reheated several times to maintain melted consistancy.) 5) When frosting is set, place stencil in desired shape on cupcake. Sprinkle with powdered sugar; carefully remove stencil.
