Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lay the baguette slices on a large cookie sheet. bake the bread for 7 minutes or until the tops have begun to brown. Immediately remove from the oven and rub the garlic halves onto the bread. Mince the garlic after this step. Spread a good amount of butter on each slice. Sprinkle a liberal amount of Parmesan on top of the butter, and then top with a light sprinkling of garlic powder. Top with the minced garlic. bake at 400 degrees for 7 - 10 minutes, or until the butter and cheese have melted and the top garlic has started to brown. Serve hot.
