     Fruit Cake

Ingredients
1/2 cup Brandy
1/2 cup Rum
1/2 cup Sherry
1 1/2 cup pineapple juice
8 cups mixed candied fruit
1 cup nuts
1 lb butter
1 lb light brown sugar
 
10 eggs
3 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp allspice

Instructions
Mix all fruit and nuts in liquid. Stir, cover and let stand. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at the time. Sift dry ingredients to add to egg mixture. Mix well. Then add fruit mixture. Turn into well greased and floured tube pan. Cook at 250 degrees for 3 hours. Store in cool place. Additional liquor may be poured over cake as it ages.
