     Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients
2 Tbls butter
1/4 cup diced onion, sauted
1.5 Tbls all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp white sugar
1 cup sour cream
3 cans (14.5 oz) cans French style green beans, drained
2 cups shredded chedder cheese (Sorrento Artisan style)
1 can french fried onions
 
1 sleeve of crumbled butter round crackers (kebbler butter crisp)
2 Tbls butter, melted

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees 2. Melt 2 Tbls butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add onions. Stir in flour until smooth, and cook for 1 minute. Stir in salt, sugar and sour cream. Add green beans, and stir to coat. Mix 1/2 cup of cheese and 3/4 of french fried onions. 3. Transfer the mixture to a pam sprayed 2 1/2qt casserole dish. Spread remaining shredded cheese and french fried onions over the top. In a small bowl toss together cracker crumbs and remaining butter, and sprinkle over the top. 4. Bake covered for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, remover lid and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the top is golden and cheese is bubbly.
