Salt, Pepper, Italian Herbs (Rosemary, Oregano, Basil, Thyme)
2-4 Bay Leaves
2-3 Medium Jalapeno Peppers, diced (optional)
Instructions
Heat oil in a 4 quart sauce pot. Add sausage and
cook till brown. Remove meat and set aside, leave
oil in pan. Brown hamburger in the leftover oil,
remove and add to sausage, leave oil in pan.
Saute onions, garlic, carrots, and
jalapenos(optional) in the same pot until onions are
translucent. Add hamburger and sausage back into
the pot.
Add tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, bay leaves, and
seasonings. Simmer on medium to low heat for 1 hour
stirring occasionally.
Add tomato paste and simmer for 10 more minutes to
thicken.

Suggestions
This sauce is good over spaghetti or in lasagna. For a little extra spice, cook your hamburger with red pepper flakes.
