Bring a large pot of water to a boil and salt to
the salinity of the sea. Add the pasta and cook
according to package directions.
Heat the oil in a large skillet. Add garlic and red
pepper. Half the tomatoes and tear up the basil
leaves; add them both to the skillet. Cook on
medium until tomatoes break down and create a light
sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
Drain the pasta and toss with sauce, including a
little of the pasta water.
Make a homemade garlic butter for fresh rolls,
bread or toast to serve along with the pasta. For
extra garlic flavor in the pasta, add some of the
garlic butter.

Serve with freshly grated Parmesan or Romano cheese.
