     Pineapple upside down jelly

1 C sugar
1/2 C brown sugar
1 pkg pectin
2 20 ozcans crushed pineapple, drained
1/4 C finely chopped maraschino cherries
1/8 tsp vanilla

Stir sugars and contents of pectin in bowl, mix well. Add pineapple, cherries and vanilla. Stir in 3 minutes. Ladle jam into the clean jars to fill line. Twist on lids. Boil for 10 minutes, making sure water is over jars
