Butterfly pork tenderloin until it is on large flat piece.
Spread chopped apples and solid butter evenly over meat. Roll meat
up and tie closed.
Rub softened butter and salt and pepper on outside and place in a
3 quart cooking dish. All the juices from apples will be added to the
cider, so make sure it is deep enough for that. Pour cider in bottom
of pan.
Cover loosely with foil and bake at 350 for 1 hour, or 250 for 3
hours.
