     Berry Cream Cheese Coffee Cake

1 cup All Purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/4 cup Unsalted Butter (softened)
1/2 cup Sugar
1 Egg
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1/3 cup Milk
2 cups of berries (I use a mix of blackberries and raspberries)
8 ounces Cream Cheese (softened at room temperature)
1/4 cup Sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
1 tablespoon Flour

Preheat the oven to 350 Fahrenheit, and grease a 9 inch springform pan. Cream the butter and sugar together. Add the egg and vanilla. Add the flour, alternating with the milk. Pour the batter into the springform pan, and spread it evenly. In a separate bowl, cream the cream cheese until very soft and smooth. Add the sugar, and mix. Add the egg, vanilla, and lemon juice. Lastly, add the flour, and mix to combine. Spread the cream cheese layer over the cake layer as evenly as possible.
You can bake this cake as it is now, or you can top with a Streusel. I use the following Streusel recipe- 1/3 cup Flour 1/3 cup Sugar 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon 1/4 cup COLD butter, cut into small pieces. Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl or a food processor. Add the butter, and either cut the butter into the dry ingredients with two forks/a pastry cutter or Pulse your food processor. Do this until the mix resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle this on top of the cream cheese layer.
Finally, bake for 55 - 65 minutes.
