     Corn Bread Tamale Bake

Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 c chopped green pepper
1/2 c chopped onion
1 1/2 tbl chili powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil
3 c chopped fresh tomato
 
1/2 c water
2 tbl flour
1 c shredded cheddar
1 c shredded mozzarella
1/2 c sliced olives
1 pkg (10 oz) corn bread mix

Instructions
Inn large skillet brown beef with garlic. Add green pepper and onion and saute until tender. Add chili powder, salt, oregano, basil, tomato and 1/4 c water. Cover and simmer 10-15 minutes. Combine remaining 1/4 water, stir into meat over medium heat stirring until thickened. Remove from heat. Add cheddar, mozzarella and olives. Stir until cheese is melted. Pour into 9 inch square baking dish. mix cornbread according to package directions. Drop by spoonfuls on top of meat. Bake at 425 for 15-20 minutes of until top is golden. Let stand 10 min before serving.
