Preheat oven to 350.
Spray donut pans with Pam.
Make glaze with powdered sugar and hot water.
Cover and set aside.
Butter molds.
Sift together the flour, baking powder, nutmeg
and salt. Set aside. In a saucepan over low
heat, warm butter until just melted. Remove
from heat and add milk, sugar and egg and using
a whisk, beat until smooth. Add this mixture
to the flour mixture and beat until well
blended.
The dough should be very soft.
Spoon dough into a large pastry bag filled with
a 1/4 or 3/8 inch tip. Fill molds about 2/3
full,
Bake until tops begin to color and spring back;
about 9-12 minutes.
Cool and rack with top side up. While still
warm, brush with sugar glaze
When molds are cool enough to handle, wipe out and
rebutter. Bake remainder of dough.
