Heat oven to 350, cream butter and sugar, then add the
pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, and salt and mix completely.
Add the eggs one at a time beating after each addition, add
the milk alternately with the flour, then add the vanilla.
Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan, bake 1 hour, cool
15 minutes before removing from the pan, cool on a rack.
