Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine Shortening,
Peanut butter, Brown sugar, Milk and Vanilla in a
large bowl. Beat with a mixer at medium speed
until well blended. Add Egg. Beat until just
blended.

Combine Flour, Salt, and Baking soda. Add to
blended mixture at low speed. Mix until just
blended.

Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto
UNGREASED baking sheet. Flatten slightly in a
crisscross pattern with a fork.

|
Bake for 7-8 mins, or until set and just beginning
to brown. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Cool 2 mins on baking
sheet. Remove cookies to racks to cool completely.
