     Rum Pie

Ingredients
1 Package Knox Gelatin
1/4 Cup Cold Water
4 Egg Yolks - Beaten
1/4 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Hot Water with a Pinch of Salt
1/4 Cup Rum
4 Egg Whites
3/4 Cup Sugar
2 Baked Pie Shells
 
2 Containers of Cool Whip
Nutmeg

Instructions
Soak gelatin in cold water.
In double boiler, cook- egg yolks, sugar, water with salt. While stirring constantly, cook to custard consistency. Add gelatin and rum. Stir well and let cool.
Beat egg whites fairly stiff and add sugar a little at a time. Add egg white mixture to gelatin mixture and pour into two baked pie shells.
Chill and when ready to serve, spread on cool whip and sprinkle nutmeg over cool whip.
