     Cranberry Orange Cheese Ball

Category   Appetizers
Sub Category   None

Ingredients
BALLS
1 lb. or 1 package Cream Cheese softened
1/2 C dried Craisins chopped
2 T Orange Zest (1 orange using a fine grater)
1 T Orange Juice use the orange that was zested
1/2 C Brown Sugar

COATING
1/2 C dried Craisins chopped fine
1 T Orange zest (1 orange use large grater)
1 C Sliced Almonds roasted

Instructions
Stir 1/2 Cup of the Craisins, orange zest, orange juice squeezed from the orange that was zested, and brown sugar with the softened cream cheese until combined. Use a mixer or your hands. Set the mixture in the fridge to allow firming about 20 minutes.
Toast the almonds. Mix all Coating ingredients together. Lay out the mixture on a tray. There is plenty of coating mixture to coat two cheese balls. If you cut the recipe in half it will do just fine for on cheese ball.
Take the cheese mixture from the fridge and roll and form into a ball. Roll the cheese ball in the coating mixture until covered completely. Cover and store in fridge until ready to serve.
Crackers or baguettes can be used to scoop the cheese. If using baguettes (artisan breads). Slice the baguettes and brush one side with olive oil. Bake them till they are crisp. If using a cracker use a cracker that doesn't break when scooping. Deli crackers or Triskets work well.
