Mix lemon juice and 1/3 cup sugar; set aside. Cream remaining sugar
and shortening Add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour, baking powder,
salt and add alternately with milk. Add rind and nuts. Pour into 10x 5 x
3 inch loaf pan or two small pans. Bake 350 for one hour. Pour lemon
juice and sugar mixture over bread when first removed from oven.
