package dried onion soup mix
Instructions
brown stew pieces in a small amount of olive oil in a fry pan that has a
tight lid;
sprinkle dry onion soup mix on top of meat;
pour over enough red wine to just barely cover the meat
bring the fry pan to just boiling, cover tightly, and then turn down to
simmer for 3 hours;
last half hour, take off the lid so the liquid reduces down and
concentrates the flavor
