1.Preheat the oven to 200°c. Put 2 cups plain flour, 1/2 cup hazelnut meal, 2 tablespoons sugar and 125g butter in a kitchen machine and mill it until it looks like breadcrumbs. Add 1 egg and work it to a pastry.

2. Wrap the pastry in plastic and chill for 30 minutes. Roll out the pastry and fit into the baking tray. Line it with some baking paper. Bake the tart for 25 minutes. Reduce the oven to 180°c.

3.Beat 4 eggs, add 3/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla and stir it until it becomes thick. Add 1 cup cream, 1 tablespoon cornflour and 1/2 cup hazelnut meal. Pour it into the pastry. Slice two apples and make a layer with them over the tart. Bake it for 45 minutes.
