Add 3/4 c. warm milk and 1 c. flour to yeast and let set 1/2 hour
Mix-
1/4 c. sugar
1 t. salt
1 egg
1/4 c. melted shortening
Glaze-
Mix 1/4 c. water or milk
3 c. powdered sugar
1 T. melted butter
1 t. vanilla
Extra milk to make thinner
Instructions
Add sugar, salt, egg, and shortening to first mixture and stir
in 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 c. flour. Knead and let rise until doubled.
Knead again lightly and roll out to 1/2 to 3/4” thick. Cut and
let rise and deep fry. Dip into glaze.
