     Sour Cream Raisin Pie

1 cup raisins, washed
3/4 cup white sugar
1 cup sour cream
2 egg yolks
1 tsp cinnamon
3 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 egg whites

Heat cream, sugar, raisins, egg and cinnamon. Cool slowly 10 minutes. Remove stove and add 1 tsp baking soda and stir well. This will bubble up 2 or 3 times its depth. Put filling into a baked pastry shell. Spoon meringue on making sure meringue touches pastry and seals entire pie.
Meringue Beat egg whites and 1 tsp water until soft peaks form. Add sugar, corn starch and baking powder mixture 1 tbsp at a time beat until stiff. Brown at 375 for 15 minutes
